Privacy
A clear, minimal privacy framework for the Bay-1742 website.
Draft Pending final owner and legal review.
Our privacy approach
The Bay-1742 website is designed to provide company and product information with minimal data collection. The current static build does not include analytics, advertising pixels, marketing trackers, user accounts or a working contact form.
Information this website currently processes
The website itself does not intentionally request personal information. Standard web-server logs may be created by the future hosting provider when pages are requested. The owner must confirm the hosting provider’s applicable log retention and operational practices before this section is finalized.
Cookies and local storage
The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one device-local preference named bay1742-theme so the site can remember whether a visitor selected light or dark mode. This preference is not transmitted by the website’s code.
Third-party services
No third-party analytics, advertising, social embeds or marketing scripts are included in this build. If services are added later, this policy must be reviewed and updated before they are enabled.
BecaTV Home+
BecaTV Home+ is designed to operate primarily on the user's TV and local network. It includes no advertising, analytics, tracking or telemetry SDK. BAY-1742 does not sell Home+ user information, upload camera video or provide cloud camera recording.
Information kept on the TV
Home+ stores its launcher layout, folders, artwork and top-bar choices, shortcuts, wallpapers, weather city, screensaver and camera-presentation settings in Android app-private storage. It can also store local profile names and types, Kids app allowlists and schedules, aggregate current-day viewing time, and parental or profile PIN hashes.
When a user configures a camera or NVR, Home+ stores the address, channel and username plus an encrypted password record. Credentials are decrypted only in memory when connecting to that user-configured local endpoint. Home+ may display a system-provided Google person name and image reference, but does not store the person's email address. Google Play—not Home+—handles payment details; Home+ stores only the Premium entitlement result, purchase source and last verification time.
Information used without keeping a history
Home+ reads locally available TV-app package names, labels, icons and banners to build Home and All Apps. If the optional accessibility compatibility service is enabled after its separate disclosure and consent, it observes foreground app or activity names and supported remote-button events for Home override, configured shortcuts, parent TV lock, Kids schedules and limits, camera quick view and doorbell overlay. The service cannot read window content, take screenshots, perform gestures or record typed text. Foreground names and raw key events are not retained or transmitted.
Camera video and snapshots are decoded locally. Optional motion comparison retains only a temporary downsampled sample in memory and does not create a recording archive.
Home+ network connections
Optional features may connect to Environment and Climate Change Canada for visible weather observations; bay-1742.com for the app-only wallpaper catalog and selected files; Google Play for product details, purchases, acknowledgement and restoration; user-configured private-LAN camera, NVR, RTSP, ONVIF or snapshot endpoints; and another Home+ TV during a user-confirmed encrypted household setup transfer. Home+ currently has no BAY-1742 account service or developer-operated billing server.
Household transfer excludes Google identity, camera addresses and credentials, PIN material, Kids usage and override state, Premium entitlement, accessibility state and Android Home-app state. The transfer uses a short-lived pairing code and sender/recipient-only encryption.
Home+ choices and deletion
Camera, profile, weather, accessibility and transfer features are optional. Users can disable the compatibility service in Android Accessibility settings and change the Home app in Android settings. They can remove individual Home+ configuration in the app. Android's Clear storage/data control or uninstalling Home+ erases its locally stored profiles, layouts, camera credentials and cached settings. A Google Play purchase remains associated with the purchasing Google account and can be restored where eligible.
Questions about Home+ privacy may be sent to privacy@bay-1742.com and product-support requests to support@bay-1742.com.
